Key Environmental Management Tasks and Response Strategies

Strengthening Management of Air Pollutant Emission Facilities

In accordance with strengthened laws on air pollutant emissions, we are striving to comply with environmental laws by expanding self-measurement subjects and items, and through continuous monitoring/improvement.

Response to Strengthened Obligations for Waste Dischargers

As monitoring of waste consignment/entrustment standards and processing procedures has been strengthened, we are intensifying monitoring of proper waste disposal, including frequent inspections of entrusted processing companies.

Response to Revised Chemical Substances Management Laws

Based on the revised chemical substance laws implemented in April 2021, we have prepared preliminary management policies and emergency response policies. We plan to establish optimal chemical substance management plans in coordination with local residents and local governments.

Operation Management System

  • Environmental Pollutant Management
    We operate to ensure that various environmental pollutants generated in the production process do not exceed legal standards. We strive to protect the environment and ecosystem and provide eco-friendly value to customers by minimizing fugitive dust generation within the workplace, optimizing the operation of prevention facilities, and applying eco-friendly equipment.
  • Air Pollutant Management
    We install and manage optimized prevention facilities to reduce air pollutant emissions and improve the atmospheric environment. We regularly monitor emitted pollutants for each facility and manage emission concentrations within legal standards by installing and expanding high-efficiency air pollution prevention facilities.
  • Water Pollutant Management
    All wastewater generated from processes such as heat treatment within the workplace is discharged through designated companies.
  • Chemical Substance Management
    From the purchasing stage of chemical substances, we conduct reviews and responses for regulated substances in accordance with relevant laws such as the Chemical Substances Control Act, the Act on Registration and Evaluation, etc. of Chemical Substances, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
  • Waste Management
    We verify new occurrences, permits, and emission information of waste generated within the workplace. Waste is separated by type, stored in waste storage areas, and then disposed of through legally compliant entrusted processing companies.
